This urban regeneration project, located in the district of Fontvieille in Monaco, aims to create an innovative, sustainable, environmentally friendly mixed-use complex.
The proposal is focused on improving users’ quality of life while strengthening and boosting the Principality’s commercial, leisure and residential offering, as well as its tertiary and logistics sectors.
Its bioclimatic design is the result of a serious consideration of sustainability issues and involves: using low-carbon cement and wood; limiting energy needs (prioritizing ventilation, natural light and thermal inertia); using solar energy, ecological transport and recycled rainwater; and creating a two-hectare green lung, where 2,000 trees will be planted. With all these measures, the project aspires to achieve ten environmental certifications.
