The building will have a dual distinctive image that will gradually change throughout the day
A building located in such a special node of the city should have a recognizable image in order to become a proper urban landmark.
A pure abstract volume will contrast with the repetition of horizontal bands of the buildins around it. This volume will be higher and simpler than the current one which will contribute to enhance its unique character. In order to achieve this, a new permeable skin will cover the entire building (including the core and M+E equipment on top of the third floor) exhausting the maximum permitted height all over the building. Inside this abstract cube, a curved composite glass-metal skin will enclose retail and office areas. This curved façade generates a soft shaped volume that creates diverse interior and exterior spaces. In between these two layers, there will be outdoor areas protected from weather conditions and traffic noise.
