Mall Parque Angamos

With the aim of creating a local feature and reference point for the new neighbourhood south of Antofagasta, the project proposes a collection of commercial, leisure and service facilities

The area to the south of Antofagasta has experienced major urban, residential and commercial growth because of mining, the region's principal economic activity, and the associated increased demand for housing. With the aim of creating a local feature and reference point for this new neighbourhood, the project proposes a collection of commercial, leisure and service facilities. Making the most of the temperate climate, the centre will be open-air with a central L-shaped patio around which all the premises will converge. The building will fit into the landscape with two levels above ground: the ground floor is given over to shops and services while the first floor will house a clinic and a fitness gym.

In accordance with local sustainability criteria and environmental requirements, the project will use durable, low-maintenance materials such as concrete, sheets of aluminium, zinc and wood
