With 28,900 m² of gross floor area and a highly versatile program, Energy Park positions itself as a new centrality—a place of convergence that goes beyond the traditional business park model to become a true piece of the city, where every user finds their place.
A New Urban Ecosystem in Vélizy-Villacoublay: Sport, Health, and Wellbeing at the Heart of the City
Located in the heart of Vélizy, Energy Park® redefines the balance between activity, nature, and wellbeing within a metropolitan environment undergoing urban renewal. The project responds to the evolution of the urban fabric: moving from large blocks of introverted buildings toward a structure of open buildings whose ground floors interact with the city. This shift, increasingly porous and human, creates pedestrian pathways that open onto the tramway, outdoor life, and new ways of experiencing public space.
Conceived as a dynamic hub dedicated to health, sport, and leisure, Energy Park® brings together a wide variety of facilities around sport, leisure, wellbeing, retail, and dining, organized around a central landscaped courtyard that is open and shared. This structuring green space becomes a catalyst for collective uses, encouraging conviviality, soft mobility, and direct connection with nature.
The project’s architecture draws inspiration from energy as both a physical and social phenomenon: waves, flows, and movement are expressed through a modulated, fluid geometry capable of adapting to the functional needs and identity of each building. Curved lines, horizontal volumes, and continuous pathways create a coherent, timeless language in which every element—from sunshades to the palette of metallic finishes and glass—serves climatic comfort and energy performance.
The project embraces a horizontal reading of programs, where activities are layered organically: sports and wellness facilities coexist with leisure and dining spaces, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. These activities connect through stairwells clad in color and translucent glass, complemented by walkways linking the four buildings of the block. A sequence of landscaped terraces, patios, and pedestrian pathways weaves a direct relationship between inside and outside, between the intimate and the collective.
