Ecourban Barcelona

The creation of three buildings in a block of sector 22@ of the area of expansion of Barcelona, reinterprets the concept of Cerdà

Form an open complex that breaks up the corners and volume, leading the line of sight back to the points of architectural interest, in a permeable whole with direct accesses to each building from the ground floor. The roof gardens respond to the sustainability criteria of the complex, which symbolise the biological metabolism in the process of architectural design. The treatment of the façades (ventilated ceramic enclosure and aluminum panels) responds to the orientation of the sun.

It represents a unitary image evoking the industrial character of the surroundings, as testifies the preservation of the access pavilion of the old Metal Workers’ Union factory
