L35 Architects opens its new office in the Sotogrande Marina, located at Calle Ribera del Marlin, local 36. This innovative space will not only host the firm’s operations on the Costa del Sol but will also feature a materials showroom in collaboration with Matter, a firm specializing in materials consultancy. Both firms will continue their strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and attention to detail. The opening of this space will also celebrate the inauguration of the Summer Gallery by Flecha Madrid, where a diverse range of artworks can be discovered throughout the summer.
Following the completion of the avant-garde Santiago Bernabéu stadium, the architecture firm responsible for such iconic works as the Roma Termini station and Muelle Uno on the Malaga waterfront aims to undertake projects in the area from a philosophy of integrated service, offering everything from concept to project realization. With offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Miami, Mexico City, Bogotá, Santiago, Istanbul, and Abu Dhabi, the opening of the Sotogrande office aligns with L35’s philosophy of client proximity, a trait it shares with Matter.
A strategic location for projects on the Costa del Sol
The objective is to create a benchmark in architecture and interior design on the Costa del Sol, contributing to the area’s offerings and strengthening client relationships. The new office in Sotogrande will also facilitate closer oversight of ongoing projects in the region. These include residential buildings and villas in Sotogrande, the Aelca tower, and the NOA office complex in the Martiricos neighborhood of Malaga, as well as housing in Rincón de la Victoria. This local presence reinforces L35 Architects’ commitment to the Costa del Sol.
Commitment to innovative and quality architecture
L35 Architects' projects in the region reflect their dedication to innovative and quality architecture, using materials that capture the essence of local culture. This new headquarters in Sotogrande will enable the firm to continue developing projects that harmoniously integrate the Mediterranean context into each design, offering an environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
“The quality and attention to detail that we apply to our projects of various sizes and uses have enabled us to successfully develop large-scale projects like the Santiago Bernabéu or the Roma Termini station, where materiality, uses, and image are understood in an integral and genuine way,” says Tristán López Chicheri, CEO of L35 Architects.
He also notes that “we are aware that the sustainability and efficiency of a building are fundamental for its use, the client, and the planet. It is through innovation that we can achieve excellent results.”
Collaboration with Matter: a materials showroom
The office opens in collaboration with Matter to merge architecture and interior design with an extensive collection of samples. This initiative will facilitate the materialization of spaces by providing an environment that enhances the design experience and client interaction.
“For Matter, opening this office in collaboration with L35 means getting closer and providing more comprehensive service to the client, offering specialized and personalized materials consultancy from start to finish on each project,” says Jordi Antonijoan, CEO of Matter.
Through the close collaboration between the interior design department and the Matter team, those elements that enhance the design of spaces will be highlighted. This methodology will allow attention to every project phase from the initial concept to the final details, ensuring that each design reflects the client’s vision and needs comprehensively.
