Carlos studied Architecture at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. He worked with Enric Miralles and then with the Architect Giancarlo Mazzanti. He started his own business in 2005 and created, along with Ricardo Jiménez, a studio called “Plus Arquitectura y Diseño”, with a focus on housing and interior design projects. In 2013 they became associated with L35. Plus Arquitectura underwent an internal transformation in 2016, into KTO Architecture firm.
