La Rambla

The Project is located in one of the entrances to the city which runs from the Autovia del Mediterráneo towards the Rambla de Belén, the main city axis leading to the harbor area. The project concept contains elements of contemporary design, with daylight flooding in and pure volumes framed by large roofs.

The architectural concept is based on containing and expressing the program complexity through a building which, in addition to its commercial use, will provide cultural elements to the city and its surrounding area. A rigorous environmental impact study has been carried out not only from the point of view of the architectural design (materials, building systems, orientations, etc) but also for energy saving issues and low environmental impact.

The building is organized in two retail levels, and taking advantage of the topography inclination, both with street level accesses. There is an open-air level for leisure activities with a terrace overlooking the sea. In the lower level we find the supermarket and other retail shops for food, housing and other services. The first floor will be exclusively for fashion and accessory outlets. The second level will offer all kinds of leisure activities such as cinema, gym, spa, bowling and a wide selection of restaurants with panoramic terraces. 2100 parking spaces organized in two underground levels and around the contiguous plot and surrounding streets are also part of the project.
