Habitat Leganés

This is a building which comprises of 66 residences, shopping premises and one urbanised space. The initial idea was to conceive a building with its own character within the surrounding environment. Following those lines, a solid block was suggested with three patios open to the south.

The building spreads over four levels plus a level below the roof. The first two levels form a base of natural stone and provide a clean row of windows grouped into longitudinal squares. The higher levels made of varnished white bricks display a shorter outline with windows built in a less structured manner. Entrance areas were conceived as glass boxes built into granite holding structures divided into four sections each separated by a green space surrounding the building itself and expanding throughout the complex.
